Communication and control using one language: Bizerba BxNet

The Bizerba Communication Tool BCT is designed to link Bizerba industrial scales, labeling systems and printers using a single communication software system. Irrespective of the type of connected device, communication takes place using the standardized Bizerba Bx-Net language.

System integration to match your requirements: Not a problem

Integrating the communication software in line with your specific requirements is quick and easy to implement, allowing the simple configuration of all system parameters and networks via a graphic configuration tool and completely eliminating the need for complex editing of configuration files.

Independent of physical interfaces

Choose any freely configurable interfaces:

Whether serial, Profibus or TCP/IP. The interfaces you select have no influence on your applications. This means that you can change them at any time, for example from serial RS 232 to TCP/IP without the need to make any changes to the applications. The change is executed simply with a mouse click via the graphic configuration tool.

Cross-platform operation a matter of course

Applications running on other operating systems such as LINIX , AS 400 or Novell can be integrated without problems via all network protocols supported by Windows.

The DCOM server concept supports cross network accessing. The Bizerba Communication Tool BCT takes complete charge of communication between connected units and your Windows environment.

How is BCT integrated in your applications?

You can choose between two different communication methods. Via a user-friendly file interface for "programming-free" transmission of data and control commands or via ActiveX control elements for event-controlled integration of all unit-specific functions in Windows applications.

“Programming-free” transmission of data and control commands

Your application transmits and receives data and control commands via ASCII files. This can also take place on a cross-network basis. Using FTP (File Transfer Protocol), it is possible to access this data easily and conveniently at any time. System requirements: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Vista, Window 7.

Event-controlled integration of all functions in WINDOWS applications

WINDOWS applications such as MS Excel, MS Access or Visual Basic programs can communicate directly with your Bizerba units via ActiveX control elements. This permits direct integration of appliance functions in WINDOWS programs, and allows a direct response to events in the application program and simple implementation of event-controlled processes. This means that cyclical polling of events such as operator log-on or weight value transfer can be dispensed with. System requirements: Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP,  Vista, Window 7.
